Add the Events block to your editor using the ‘+’ button on the top left of the editor.
Click the pencil icon on the block to switch to edit mode.
Event Display: select ‘Show All Events’ to display all events, select ‘Hide Past Events’ to automatically hide events when the date has passed.
Choose ‘Display as Carousel Slider’ or ‘Display as Blocks’. The default, carousel slider, displays more than four events in one sliding rows. Selecting the block display will cause events to display in multiple rows.
Import from Eventbrite: to important from Eventbrite, You can get your Event ID from visiting your event dashboard. In the URL, you will see “my-event?edit=” followed by the ID.
Add a date, image (optional), title, short description (under 144 characters), and CTA (call to action) link. ‘Event Date Options’ allows you to signify a multi-day event, start/end times, and location.
To add another event, press the red ‘Add Row’ button in the bottom right of the block.
Make sure your events are added in ascending order. To reorder, drag and drop by selecting the grey bar on the left of any row.
Tips & Good practices
Be careful not to add a very dark or busy image, it may make the text difficult to read.
If no image is added, the block will default to a solid grey box.
If you add a link that leaves utahtech.edu, goes to the catalog, or directs the user to a file, make the link opens in a new tab.
Bad Practices
Do not place the Events block in a column block. They will automatically align.
