Add the Accordion List block to your editor using the ‘+’ button on the top left of the editor.
Click the pencil icon on the block to switch to edit mode.
Add a background image. This will be the thumbnail that displays before the user ‘plays’ the video. You will need to upload a still from the video to the Media Library.
Add the video link. (YouTube or Vimeo)
Select either h2 or h3 for the Heading Type. (h2 is larger)
Optionally- add one or two short sentences.
Add banner links only if you are using this block as the heading of the page. Select ‘Add Row’ to add another button.
Tips & Good practices
The banner links can be easily reordered – drag and drop by selecting the grey part on the left of any row.
Make sure to resize & optimize images for this block before uploading it to the WordPress Media Library. Use Web Services’ Optimizer to do this easily.
If you add a link in the Banner that leaves utahtech.edu, goes to the catalog, or directs the user to a file, make the link opens in a new tab.
Bad Practices
Do not use a small image for the thumbnail – it will not display correctly.
Do not add banner links unless the block is being used at the top of the page.
Do not hyperlink text in the Banner text box.
Do not any text longer than one or two short paragraphs to the Banner.
