Participant must be a registered full-time student at Dixie State University.
Participant must fill out an enrollment sheet with their name, digital ID, email address, and phone number.
Participant must have access to their D-mail address to receive their winnings.
The contest will run for 1 hour.
The Play Fields will be reserved and roped off with caution tape for the duration.
The tentative date is March 30th at 12 pm on the 4th floor balcony.
The contest can be postponed by the following:
When participants arrive on March 30th, they will be required to fill out the enrollment sheet and then will be given a sheet of stock paper to write their assigned participant number on and then fold as they see fit.
Participants will then be escorted out onto the balcony where they will be seated in a chair. From that chair, they will throw their paper airplane out into the play field.
If at any time, the participant lifts from their seat while throwing their airplane, they will be disqualified.
Participants will only be given one chance at launching their airplane.
Each paper airplane must land within the play field to qualify.
The only exception being past the play field.
A landscape flag with the participant’s paper airplane number written on it, will be placed at the nose of the paper airplane after it lands.
The participant whose paper airplane is the furthest from the north edge of the play field will be declared the winner and will be given the chance to accept the cash prize.
The winner will be notified via email and will have 4 hours to claim their prize.
If the claim deadline is missed, the runner up will be notified and given a 1-hour opportunity to claim the prize.
When the prize is claimed, the winner will be announced via Dixie Announce.
